Yeah! Its weekend again! Finally! I'm still in the midst of adapting to my new workplace and my new job. If anyone asks me this question now or maybe a few years later, I will definitely gif the same answer. "Do you like studying or working?" I definitely gif a firm answer "Working". Frankly speaking, I seriously dun like studying..I guess this is one of the biggest difference between me and Felicia. She LOVES studying. I HATE studying. I guess the only books that I hold on to are recipe books, chinese novels, magazines or travel books (coz it means holiday). Other than those, leave me alone.

Well. After a week with my colleagues, they are quite nice ppl. This week my team is down with only 6 ppl, half strength as Citibank rewarded 6 of my grp mbrs to Taiwan for holiday. I'm nt too sure y they are entitled, but i heard its coz they hit some high target. Anyway, Deborah insists us to send them off, so we went to send them off at changi airport during working hours. And we were given a meal treat.
I still have not managed to hit my target..haf to get used to calling ppl and get used to rude and challenging customers. So ppl out there, next time if someone calls u reg some promotion from banks, be nice okie? Coz it might be me..hehe! My sales figure is extremely like stocks. Fluctuate so much. Lolx. It feels realli upsetting when u have alot of rejection, but I feel much better after deborah's piece of words, "Its okay for rejection. One customer reject u never mind. Citibank still has so many customers." Isn't that motivating?

My little boy has gone for his mission to "protect our homeland"..and I miss him so much..how i wish for him to quickly finish his noble mission..

Time will pass very fast..

Finally finally its weekend again! I'm so so happy! This week seemed a realli long week for me..trying to adapt to a new work environment, trying to 'click' with new colleagues, trying to get sales.
My new workplace: Citibank, and my post at Citibank is a bank officer. Many ppl sure have a wrong impression tt I'm working under branches..but instead, I'm actually under the telesales team for funds transfer. Anyway, there are 4 teams in total, and I'm under studpendous. Before I came in, I've been hearing many stories abt my team..many said tt the sales is the best..and the ppl are very proactive in all competitions.
When I went to work on Monday, I was training under Deborah, my team leader. She taught me how to tackle customer rejection. A lil bit abt Deborah..she is also a debator. When I sat at her table with her..we were doing roleplays..and i had to make calls to her..den she has to reject me by all means..and i had to counter her rejection. It seemed so much like a debate session..with rebuttals and counter rebuttals. Haha..
On tuesday..i continued training with Deborah. And guess wad she said.."ltr u are gona make calls." I like.."NONONO!!" and "OMG!" Second day oni...where's my script where's my script!! I mean..I noe i'm doing telesales..and i noe its gona be sooner or later i haf to make calls..bt i'm just nt tt prepared. I do haf a script..exactly like a debate speech..but i worry abt not being able to counter customer's rejection..and I'll be like...er...er..er...and den silence.
So i was sitting at my desk..looking at the computer screen...thking and thking..walking ard..just refuse to make a call. Deborah keep saying.."dun worry.." but i was still contemplating. Finally..I made a call ard 5+..haha..when 6 is the time to go home.
On wednesday, I went to work and i started making calls..but i faced alot of rejection..got ppl hang up phone..so upsetting..I was so sad..at 6pm still dun get a single sale. So i decided to stay OT..and I'm very determined i must close a sale on tt day. I was realli desperate when I still dun get a sale by 0830..i was going to give up until...I finally got a sale at 9pm. Closed 8k! ^.^
On thursday..the same thing happened again...so stupid..why always at last hr? I closed another at 2930..yeah! But its pretty upsetting..ppl all closed big amounts like 10k 100k but me lehx..only so little..! Got alot of ppl dun pick up calls..argh!!
On friday..i managed to close a sale...only 1k..well..think on the bright side..at least gt 1. We had team lunch and we went to fish and co. Its Sandy's bday..and fish and co. staff celebrated with us also. My sales this week is horrible..next week I must get more sales!!!
My grp ppl has been asking me the same qn...they ask if I'm korean...den i tell em i am Singaporean..den they keep telling me..u realli look like korean... well. I wish i am korean too.

After spending so much money for the U.S. trip..its time to start making money again. And finally I'm employed again! I'm so happy I managed to pass my training and the tests, and I will be starting work officially on monday.
Training was pretty tough for a greenhorn in banking for me..somemore with no knowledge about any credit cards and the terms. I really think I am the worst new hire. I have to work even harder than other people and make sure I do well in the team.
I managed to meet up with some ex colleagues from Ritz Carlton..they are still as funny. We went to Islamic, an indian muslim restaurant opened by Hassani and his uncle. Its located at Arab street. Food was realli good..and at affordable prices as well. So, we celebrated Sulaiman's birthday together at the private function room located above the restaurant. It was an extremely wonderful gathering!
And today..after tests and training by the HR, we were introduced to our team leaders. I was actually thinking if I should go to the company event=bowling competition. Then, my team leader, Deborah said," Well, later we will be going to the bowling competition which you will be coming. " I was like.."er..."
I realli felt so out of place at the bowling area..I just stood there like a vase..wanted to talk to them..but they were so enthu in their matches. Lucky Wallace (another new hire who went thru training with me) came as well..so he was the statue and I was the vase standing behind all of them..and we were chatting between ourselves..Lolx! We were thinking about some stupid excuses to run away..or even gg for a movie and come back when they end..! Lolx! I still managed to run away too...hehe..thankfully.
Home is still my best escape.
